Fall head over heels for birds of prey at our Talon-tine’s Day celebration. Join us for a fun-filled day dedicated to the fierce, fascinating, and feathered ambassadors that steal hearts year-round.

Enjoy engaging raptor presentations at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM, where you’ll meet incredible birds up close and learn what makes them such powerful predators. Get creative with arts and crafts, perfect for all ages, and warm up with free hot chocolate and coffee throughout the day.

Don’t miss a special Valentine’s treat for our feathered friends—Valentine’s enrichment for the ambassador birds at Noon.

Whether you’re a lifelong bird lover or just looking for a unique way to spend Valentine’s Day, Talon-tine’s Day is sure to win your heart.

 

What to Know:

  • Open at 10:00 am - 4:00pm, last admission is 3:15.
  • Check-in at the Welcome Center.
  • Please arrive 30 minutes early if planning to attend a live raptor program.
  • Dress appropriately for the weather as raptor program may be outside.
  • There is no additional charge to attend daily raptor programs. Your admission grants you access.
  • Typically, visitors spend from 60 to 90 minutes exploring the facility.
  • If you are a member, there is no need to make a reservation. Upon arrival, you may present your membership card or mention your membership status to the Sales Associate at our Welcome Center.
  • If you would like to become a member, you can purchase your membership here for one year of free admission to the World Center for Birds of Prey. (see membership page for more details on membership levels and benefits).
About the World Center for Birds of Prey

Explore the amazing world of raptors eye-to-eye! The Velma Morrison Interpretive Center is The Peregrine Fund's one-of-a-kind indoor/outdoor education center where you'll meet eagles, owls, vultures, hawks, and falcons from around the world. Admission includes nose-to-beak raptor encounters and a self-guided tour of the World Center for Birds of Prey.  The World Center for Birds of Prey has five live raptor exhibits outside, and another five inside the Interpretive Center. The indoor interpretive center contains educational displays focused on raptors, their unique adaptations, and how The Peregrine Fund works to conserve them worldwide. Meet a live raptor on the glove during your visit and chat with a raptor expert.
