Show Description:

Science and art both share the same source of inspiration: observing the world around us. A science illustrator translates data into something visual to help the viewer better understand the topic. Eyes on the Skies features the artwork of field biologist and science illustrator, Emma Regnier. Emma has created numerous works inspired by her experiences afield and by the discoveries made by her colleagues. This show is a celebration of the multitude of ways to study, observe, and understand birds of prey.

Artist’s Bio:

Emma Regnier is a mixed-media artist, science illustrator, ornithologist, and sketchbook enthusiast. Originally from northern Illinois, Emma pursued dual degrees in Fine Art and Environmental Science at Cornell University and spent their free time caring for captive birds of prey or looking for herptiles in the woods of upstate New York. Emma received their graduate certificate in science illustration from California State University Monterey Bay in 2024 and works for Boise State University studying Golden Eagles in the Snake River Canyon. They especially enjoy sharing exciting science topics through humor and the language of comics.
